Snowdonia Hub provides a dedicated electric vehicle charging point for guests.
This policy explains how electric vehicles may be charged while staying at the Property and forms part of our Booking Terms.
For the purposes of this policy, the Property includes Snowdonia Hub's buildings, parking areas and grounds.
This policy applies to all guests and visitors to the Property.
The person making the booking is responsible for ensuring that members of their group are aware of these requirements.
Electric vehicles may only be charged using our designated EV charging point.
Use should be requested in advance and is subject to availability. We cannot guarantee that the charging point will be available throughout your stay.
Charging is paid for separately using the payment facility provided at the charging point.
Electric vehicles must not be charged from ordinary domestic sockets anywhere at the Property.
This includes the use of portable three pin chargers, sometimes known as granny chargers or trickle chargers.
The PASC wording is particularly firm on this because it regards domestic chargers at holiday properties as a fire risk.
When using the EV charging point, you must:
• use the equipment in accordance with its operating instructions
• use a suitable charging cable where required
• not modify, interfere with or use splitting equipment with the charging point
• keep the charging area clear and accessible
• remove your vehicle when reasonably required once charging has finished
• report any fault or damage to us promptly
Smoking is not permitted in the vicinity of the charging point.
These restrictions follow the PASC template, which also prohibits modification or splitting cables and requires the charging area to remain accessible.
We cannot guarantee availability of the EV charging point.
A fault, power interruption, another authorised vehicle using the charger or circumstances outside our reasonable control may temporarily prevent its use.
Guests travelling by electric vehicle should therefore consider alternative charging options as part of their journey planning.
Use of the charging point is at the vehicle owner's risk.
Guests are responsible for ensuring their vehicle and any charging cable they provide are suitable and safe to use.
You may be responsible for damage to the charging equipment or Property caused by misuse or unauthorised charging.
Nothing in this policy excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful for us to do so.
If you would like to use the EV charging point during your stay, please let us know before arrival.
We're happy to help with information about the charger or alternative charging locations nearby.
